A family time capsule
Decades later.
First look.
My mom had a giant bin containing roughly 300 rolls of undeveloped film from our childhood. None of us knew exactly what was on them—or whether the pictures had survived.
That bin pushed me into learning how to develop and scan film myself. Roll by roll, we’ve been uncovering vacations, birthdays, ordinary afternoons, family members, and pieces of our childhood that none of us had ever seen.
It feels less like processing film and more like slowly opening a family time capsule.
